First, we'd like to thank you for volunteering to help out. The most effective appeal to a voter on behalf of a candidate is one that comes from someone they know. Our goal is to contact 60,000 Family Friends & Neighbors between now and election day. If you have any questions about FF&N, please contact the campaign office at 800.555.2222.
Who to select for your list
This is a Democratic primary in which unaffiliated/independent voters may participate, Republicans are excluded. You'll see Republicans on the list when you search, but they won't be selectable. We've set no limit on the number of folks you can contact, but we'd like to ask that you only pick people who know you by name, or live on your block. Remember that the goal is to reach people who might be influenced or motivated by your views and enthusiasm.
If there are more than one voter in the household that you'd like to address, please only use separate cards if you have different personal messages for each. Otherwise, use the space for 'Dear So-and-so' to include everyone. Other members of the household will be displayed in the cardwriting area for reference.
What to write on the postcards
Feel free to use the text that we've provided or create your own. If you need info on specific topics, it's available in the 'issues' area. If you write your own comments, you can save them to reuse or modify on other cards. The mailing of postcards partially depends on the quantity we have, so we can't be sure of the turnaround time. Please don't use these for any time-sensitive info, like "please come to our housemeeting on..." or "don't forget to watch the debate..."
Please remember to keep your remarks polite.
How to follow up
A few days after your postcards have been sent, we'll notify you by email. This is a demo version, so they're 'sent' immediately. It's time to call your FF&N.
1) Ask them who they plan on voting for & check the appropriate line.
2) Read them the issues list and ask them to pick the 3 most important.
3) Ask any questions in the right colum that are appropriate. Checking any box will send a notice to the appropriate staff. If the phone number we provided isn't correct, please put the new number in the notes, along with any instructions to the staff.
As we get closer to election day, we may email you with further instructions if warranted. Again, please call 800.555.2222 if you have any questions or problems.
